You are a badass
Do you know you’re a badass? Or are you ready to discover it?
At the beginning of 2019, I had a sudden flash of insight. During the first seven months of 2018, I completed Kundalini Yoga teacher training, which meant that I had done things I never thought I could or would. I had held my arms over my head and chanted for over an hour. I had completed a day of White Tantra, which is 5-6 back to back meditations lasting 30-60 minutes each. I had completed a 2.5 hour meditation, and gotten up at 3am to attend Sunday morning Sadhanas (group meditation practices). Then, after completing my teacher training, I went on to have a completely natural unmedicated birth at a birth center in October (not to mention a healthy pregnancy with great food and tons of exercise). Oh, and by the way, I had kicked cocaine and alcohol and achieved goals like shooting national commercials and releasing original albums before that.
When I attended my first Kundalini class again at 2 months postpartum, I had the sudden realization that if I could accomplish all of that in 2018, I was in fact a badass, and I could achieve anything I set my mind to going forward. This was a radical perspective shift from “I haven’t achieved the level of success I aspire to yet, so maybe I am not capable or never will”.
I invite you to consider your own history. I invite you to give yourself the credit you deserve. What hard things have you been through? Give yourself some compassion. Haven’t you done the best that anyone with your unique circumstances could? And now, more importantly, how are you going to move forward from here? Because we can’t change the past, only our perspective of it, and how we CHOOSE to move forward from it. Coming to see yourself as a winner is experiential. If you haven’t had enough experiences to provide yourself with evidence of your inner badass YET, I invite you to work with me, and I will help you design a plan and access experiences that prove to you what you are really capable of.
Good health - make that GREAT health - supports us in all other aspects of our lives. It’s hard to succeed - or to even want to try - when you don’t feel good, whether that’s because you’re depressed, anxious, sick, fatigued, or all of the above. Your health is really where it all starts. When you are healthy and fit - when you are strong and have energy - you have what it takes to meet the challenges in front of you with enthusiasm and determination. Life is a lot more worth living when you like it, and a lot more fun when you feel good. I hope I get to help you make positive changes and experience results for yourself. I hope I get to help you reach your highest potential, in whatever beautiful form that may take. Because you are indeed a badass. You just need to give yourself the opportunity to believe it.
